Makassar (UPG) - Tana Toraja Airport (TRT)
Flights are not scheduled daily and depart in the morning. Frequency changes seasonally. Departures are also a little bit weather dependant, as we are in the mountains here. From the airport you will need a pick-up since there is no public transport available to Rantepao from the airport. The Price for a pick-up is around 350.000 IDR for a car one way. From the airport to our homestay it is around one and a half hours driving.
Makassar (UPG) - Palopo (LLO)
Flights are not scheduled daily and depart in the morning. Frequency changes seasonally. Maybe a little bit more weather safe since Palopo is located at the sea. From the airport you will probably need a pick-up. The Price for a pick-up is around 650.000 IDR for a car one way. From the airport to our homestay it is around two and a half hours driving.

From Togeans/Ampana/Tentena to Rantepao
From the north there are no flights to Palopo or Tana Toraja Airport. So you will have to take a bus from there. Most probably you will have a stopover in Tentena and start from there towards Toraja. The bus takes around 12 hours from Tentena. Best option is to ask at your accomodation there for help on booking and schedules.
