Sop Ubi Ma Uni
Local Warung serving a traditional Soup made from Casava. They are also serving tasty Mie Goreng.
Bakso Babi
My favourite Warung for Bakso in Rantepao. Bakso Babi is a clear soup with meatballs from pig served along some dumplings. You can add noodles if you like.
Warung Dapoer Panglion (Mie Pangsit)
Mie Pangsit (also called Mie Ayam) is Noodles with Chicken Meat on the top and a little bit of vegetables. Here it is served with a soup besides the plate with the Noodles. Located in a side street close to the football field.
Soundana Kalua Resto & Cafe
Nice Restaurant located a little bit outside the rushing center of rantepao directly besides some ricefields serving fresh grilled fish and more.
Nasi Kuning, Nasi Campur and more (in the evening)
Starting from around 6 pm there are a lot of street sellers selling their food close to the junction with the tongkonan statue on the main street. Cheap and good! We highly recommend the last tent on the side of the street when going back towards our accomodation.

Indonesian Dishes, Pizza, Snacks and a good Coffee is served here.
Santai Toraja
Hotel with enclosed Restaurant a little bit outside of Rantepao city center with a Restaurant serving a small selection of pizzas, burgers & pasta besides of authentic indonesian food. A nice view towards the ricefields from there. So best to go there at daytime.
Randan Uma Coffee Roastery (Tuesdays closed)
Good Coffee and grilled Fish located directly on the opposite side of Santai Toraja.

If you want to meetup with other tourists around Rantepao you will probably find a lot of them here. You can try one of the traditional torajan specialties here: Pa’Piong.

A lot of simple food sold around the football field starting in the late afternoon. Cheap!
